Youth the Future Program

Canadian Council for Rehabilitation and Work

Do you know a youth (age 15-30) who is ready to enter the workforce and eager to engage in 8 weeks of paid pre-employment training?

Youth the Future St. John’s Employment Program from the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work is RECRUITING youth with disabilities for our virtual January 2021 cohort! Our first virtual cohort was a huge success, and we thank you for your referrals!

Successful candidates will take part in 8 weeks of paid workshops, 14 weeks of workplace guidance, disability support at work, training in many employable skills, assessments and certifications, with potential ongoing employment into the future!

We are looking for youth who:

  • Are 15-30 years old
  • Living with a disability (medical documentation not required)
  • Are eager and excited about entering the workforce
  •  Have enough digital literacy to learn how to use an online learning platform
  • Can work 20 hours per week
  •  Have a valid SIN card and identification

Please see the attached youth recruitment poster and referral form for more information about applying! I would encourage anyone working in a youth-serving organization to post this visual where target youth may access it!

Thank you for your ongoing support and we are thrilled to connect with you as we enter our second virtual employability skills training and quality employment opportunities programming.
