The St. John’s Status of Women Council is excited to launch in-person training sessions right here at the Women’s Centre! All of our sessions are facilitated with a feminist, trauma-informed approach by our skilled and knowledgeable staff.

We’re thrilled to offer the following sessions:

Being Feminist-Informed: Explore how feminist-informed approaches can enhance our understanding of issues, communication, and workplace practices.

Trauma-Informed Practice: Learn about the origins of trauma, pillars of how to build trauma-informed practices into your everyday life and work, and how to support yourself and others if you experience vicarious trauma. This session offers general life skills to use when interacting with other people, no matter your job, experiences, or background.

Gender Diversity and Sexuality: An introduction to the language of gender and sexual diversity, including some ways to navigate the use of pronouns, using inclusive and respectful language, and creating safer spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. Question and answer period included.

Standard and non-profit rates are available based on group size.
