Join Kyle Wiseman, former Project Assistant with the techKNOWtutors program, for a series of certificate programs that will be available during May 2022 throughout the province in order to offer digital literacy materials and training to staff members at non-profit organizations that can deliver training to their own clients and participants.

Each certificate program consists of a two-hour training session that will offer a staff member the tips and resources necessary to facilitate effective digital literacy sessions with their clients and program participants. Each of these sessions will be offered two times virtually over Zoom (once in a morning window and once in an afternoon window on separate days). As the content will repeat, choose a single time slot that works best for you!

There will also be two Q&A sessions that will cover questions based on any of the information provided in the main series of training. These Q&A sessions will NOT require registration. By participating in any two individual sessions, you will have access to these Q&A sessions from a link sent via email.

Who can join?

If you’re interested in attending any of these free sessions, make sure to register below! Note that these are ONLY available to staff members of non-profit organizations, which also includes community centres, public libraries, and town councils. The intention is for staff to offer these materials to their program participants, which can include any volunteers that are responsible for training program participants. Adults 19 years and older are welcome to join!

Program Descriptions and Registration

Please note that registration for any two different virtual events is encouraged for the maximum effectiveness of learning, though attendance to all four events will provide a staff member with all of the digital literacy tools we have available. Otherwise, a staff member will not receive all of the digital literacy materials to help them with facilitating their own sessions.
