These interactive workshops are intended to promote employability and life skills.

Our Skills for Success workshops are being facilitated by ABC Life Literacy Canada’s Activate Learning program. ABC Life Literacy Canada is a non-profit organization that aims to strengthen organizations that promote adult learning. Activate Learning is a comprehensive literacy skills program focused on supporting and empowering the population of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Four workshops will be offered, each focused on a specific skill from Activate Learning’s UP Skills for Work curriculum:

  • Time Management
  • Motivation
  • Stress Management
  • Problem Solving

These skills are used in nearly every job and in daily life. They also allow us to learn new skills and adapt to changes. Improving your skills can help you to build a good life for yourself.

Workshops will be held each Tuesday evening in June. The schedule for the workshops is as follows:
June 7th – 6:30 PM – Time Management
June 14th – 6:30 PM – Motivation
June 21st – 6:30 PM – Stress Management
June 28th – 6:30 PM – Problem Solving
